The Aabasaheb and Kamalabai Sardeshpande Library of Nyayadhish Tatyasaheb Athalye Arts, Vedmurti S. R. Sapre Commerce and Vidhidnya Dadasaheb Pitre Science College, Devrukh was established in the year 1972. An important objective of this library is to support various programmes of the college by providing easy access to physical and intellectual information, consistent with the present and anticipated educational/research functions.

The library consists of Reference Section, Reading Hall, and Stack-Room. The Library has an exceptional collection of text books, reference books, general books, journals, magazines, encyclopedia, dictionaries, handbooks, Manuals, bound volumes, CD-ROMs, Video Lectures, online resources and other reading material. Books are classified and arranged according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) Scheme. N-List E-Resources from the INFLIBNET centre are also available from 2011. Library has six computers to enable students to access the Internet, Digital Library and the Institutional Repository.

Library Automation:

The library uses SOUL 2.0 software. Which is state-of-the-art integrated library management software designed and developed by the INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabad. This software consists of modules of acquisitions, cataloguing circulation, serial control, administration, & OPAC. Library is having seating capacity of 75 students at a time with Online information retrieval facility through 6 terminals at a time and photocopy service.

Rules & Regulation


The Library will make every effort to maintain an environment that maximizes each patrons use and enjoyment of Library Services. We ask your Cooperation in maintaining an environment conductive to enjoyable use of the Library for all. Library is used by hundreds of people every day, it is important to have a clear, common understanding of appropriate rules, regulations and behavior in the Library. Library Materials are the materials referred/ Issued by all Valid Library users for the Purpose of Knowledge Acquisitions like Books, Periodicals, Journals, CD/DVD, Newspapers, etc. The library Staffs will firmly and courteously enforce these Rules.
  • It is mandatory to make an entry in the register while entering.
  • College I.D. is compulsory while entering in the reading hall.
  • Maintain pin-drop silence and a studious environment.
  • Group Discussions/Chatting/Group study is strictly not allowed.
  • Switch off/silent mobile phones.
  • Keep reading hall clean & neat.
  • Any eatables, celebrations are strictly not allowed.
  • Any student found misbehaving in the reading hall will be suspended from library for the period of 15 days.
  • Switch off fan/lights & slide the chair properly before leaving.
Rules and Regulations: (Borrowing)
  • Books Issue Students can able to take Book against Borrower card (one Book per Card) for a Maximum of 10 days Period.
  • Late Returns A Fine of Rs.1.00 per day is imposed after Loan Period has expired.
  • Book Renewals Book can be renewed if it has not been reserved by other users and must be brought to the library for renewal to be transacted. Reserved books will not be reissued.
  • Book Reservation User can reserve any books by furnishing proper entry in the specified Registered.
  • Responsibility The Library cardholder is responsible for all material borrowed on that card. We Recommend that you do no lend your library card to anyone else. The cardholder will be charged for all overdue fines and lost or damaged materials.
